Mila Aliece Wearn’s journey has been marked by a continuous and heartening stream of developmental milestones. Her initial progress established a foundation of calm, allowing her to begin sleeping well, increase her vocal sounds, and show a new awareness of routines. She became noticeably more social, responded to her name, and brought joy to her parents by saying “mom,” “dad,” and mimicking the phrase “help me.” Subsequent follow-ups detailed her growing independence, as she learned to feed and dress herself and utilized increasingly more sign language, while her social cues became stronger. Her curiosity for the world expanded to include trying new foods like peas and broccoli, and her awareness extended to safety, with her starting to check the water before swimming. The positive momentum reached a beautiful peak as she learned countless signs while attempting to say words like “more” and “a” for apples, and has shown a massive leap in self-care, even independently sitting on the toilet.
