Mouin has made significant improvements since his medication was discontinued. His bedtime has shifted from very late to a more regular, on-time schedule. Verbally, he now uses a few more words, including “I need,” and has much better eye contact. He is starting to understand phrases like “not available” and responds appropriately by getting his shoes when asked. While his understanding has improved, he is still not fully cooperative. He hits himself less, only doing so during haircuts, a significant reduction from before when he would do it constantly. His obsessive speech has also lessened, and he now uses phrases like “say sorry” in the correct context. His parents report that this has been a positive change for the entire family
